V3 and V4

Both protocols offer concentrated liquidity. V3 uses fixed fee tiers. V4 adds hooks: smart contracts attached to a pool that can run logic around swaps or liquidity changes, such as dynamic fees. Read Uniswap’s explanation of hooks.

What “any hook” means

You can create, claim, and withdraw in any V4 pool your wallet is eligible to use, whatever its hook. The pool still decides what your wallet can do; Range does not bypass its requirements. A hook’s custom features only appear where Range has a dedicated control.

Before using a V4 pool

Check the hook address, fee information, and published rules, including dynamic fees, provider charges, and conditions on adding or removing liquidity. The fee panel may show separate buy and sell fees; an unknown value means unavailable, not zero. Support in Range is not an audit or endorsement. See risks and tradeoffs.
