Security - Range

Range is non-custodial. Your tokens and positions stay under the control of your own wallet. Range never holds your private keys and cannot move your funds without your signature.

What Range can and cannot do

Read public onchain data about pools and positions.	Access your private key or seed phrase.
Prepare a transaction for you to review.	Submit a transaction from your wallet without your approval.
Show your positions and unclaimed fees.	Withdraw, claim, or move your liquidity on its own.

Your positions live in Uniswap V3 and V4 contracts, not in a Range account. If Range were unavailable, you could still manage them through any compatible Uniswap interface.

What you sign

Request	What it does
Sign-in message	Proves you own the address. It is free and cannot move funds.
Token approval	Lets a contract spend a set amount of one token, usually through Uniswap’s Permit2 with an expiry.
Transaction	Creates, claims from, or withdraws a position. It costs gas.

Before you confirm, check the network, the contract, the token amounts, and the approval amount in your wallet. Reject any request you did not start.

Protect your wallet

Never share your seed phrase or private key. Range will never ask for them.
Open Range only from https://range.fun, and bookmark it.
Treat direct messages offering support or airdrops as scams. Official announcements come only from @rangedotfun on X.
Review and revoke token approvals you no longer need.
Consider a hardware wallet for larger positions.

Risks Range does not remove

Range does not audit or endorse tokens, pools, or hooks. Smart contract, token, and market risks still apply. See risks and tradeoffs.
