# Quickstart

> Connect a wallet, find a pool, and configure your first liquidity position.

Create one position on Robinhood. New to LPing? Start with [liquidity management explained](/learn/liquidity-management).

## Before you begin

You need a wallet that can use Robinhood, the tokens for your position, and gas. Check any [pool or hook eligibility requirements](/reference/pools-and-hooks) and review the [risks](/learn/risks).

  <Step title="Connect your wallet">
    Click **Connect**, choose your wallet, and complete the sign-in request. Check the address in the header.

    Signing in does not move funds, and Range never holds them. See [Security](/learn/custody-and-security).

  <Step title="Find and inspect a pool">
    Search by contract address or open the token from **Discover**. Compare its pools and check the token pair, protocol, reserves, fees, and any V4 hook. See [find tokens and pools](/guides/find-pools).

  <Step title="Choose a range">
    Select **Single**. Choose a preset or edit **Min Market Cap** and **Max Market Cap**, then review the bounds and range status. See [how ranges work](/learn/ranges).

  <Step title="Set the deposit">
    Enter an amount under **Deposit**. The form calculates the other token when both are required; an out-of-range position may need only one.

    Review **Total value** and **Composition**. The mix follows the range and is not necessarily 50/50.

  <Step title="Review slippage and transaction details">
    Check **Slippage**, the bounds, and the amounts. Slippage limits how far execution can move from what you see.

    Then submit the position and approve any requested permissions and transactions in your wallet.

    After the transaction confirms, verify the position's pool, range, and assets. Then [track your positions](/guides/track-positions).
