# Track positions

> Read position ownership, token balances, range status, and unclaimed fees.

Follow both the assets in your positions and the fees they earn.

## Read a position

| Field                       | What it tells you                                                                 |
| --------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Owner**                   | The address associated with the position. Check it against your connected wallet. |
| **Liquidity**               | The two token amounts in the position and their available value estimates.        |
| **Range**                   | The position's bounds, shown as market cap, price, or ticks in the pool table.    |
| **In range / Out of range** | Whether the current pool price is inside the bounds.                              |
| **Unclaimed fees**          | The fees attributed to that position that have not been collected.                |

Use the pool ID and range to tell apart several positions in the same pool.

## Review what changed

Compare token quantities, not just dollar values, since a price change moves the value even when quantities stay the same. Adjacent positions can have different range states at the same moment.

Unclaimed fees are separate from your principal, and the displayed balance is before the [Range fee](/learn/fees) and other costs.

## When a position leaves its range

An out-of-range position stops earning swap fees until price returns, and holds only one token. See [how ranges work](/learn/ranges). Range does not move positions for you, so keep monitoring or withdraw when you choose.

## Check the wallet

Confirm the connected address before managing a position. To switch accounts, use **Disconnect** in the wallet menu, reconnect, and check the address in the header. Disconnecting ends the app session; it does not withdraw a position. See [Security](/learn/custody-and-security).
